Symptoms of Neck Pain

MRI Review and Solutions To Neck PainNeck pain in a general sense is its own symptom.

There are many ways you feel neck pain and more specifically can define your symptoms. These depend on exactly what is causing your neck pain and where it is affecting your spine in the C1 thru C7 areas.

Degrees of Neck Pain

Neck pain can be chronic or acute.

A medical dictionary may define acute pain as Pain that comes on quickly, can be severe, but lasts a relatively short time.

A short time may be a handful of weeks.

Chronic pain is defined as pain that persists or progresses over a long period of time. In contrast to acute pain that arises suddenly in response to a specific injury and is usually treatable, chronic pain persists over time and is often resistant to medical treatments.

Neck pain may be sudden, dull or sharp. You may experience pain when you make any kind of movement whether quick or slow and it might create numbness in your arms or legs.

If you have been experiencing neck pain, please talk to a doctor, they will help you determine the cause. See them sooner if the pain is getting progressively worse, affects your everyday activity or if you are feeling arm or hand weakness, numbness or tingling.

Neck pain can be a serious problem if not diagnosed or treated properly and promptly.
